Hello 3d artists and photographers! This is the HDRI Club. A Place where photographers and 3d artists can collaborate, discuss, share, and plan the creation of HDRI imagery and light probing.

Update...we've gotten a few members, and I wanted to mention that since we got a lot of people watching us. But not all of you have actually said "sign me up" so if you want in, let me know.

For now, here's some spotlighted stuff as promised:

HDRI Files
~thedarkbanditking created these four computer generated light probes. Very nice.


*smashmethod created what may be the first HDRI pack on deviantart. If you know otherwise, let us know. These are nice, but are only 180 degree topside panorams.


These two are mine *evilarcana and the first one is actually an HDRI file from photo reference, whereas the second one was generated using photoshop and polar coordinates.


Tutorials
This is a tutorial made by ~ tomorrow-erazer on using HDRI files in 3ds max 5 or higher.


And here's a tutorial by me *evilarcana on using stock photography to somewhat convincingly fake a spherical panoram using photoshop built in functionality. This combined with an HDR plugin could yield some interesting results.
